Staff were friendly and seemed keen to provide good service. The housekeeping were prepared to allow you sole use of lift.
No. We were happy with all aspects of our stay.
Beds very nice, Breakfast was ok,
Parking no comment as I recall as being no place to stop out side to off load. Parking next door good but did not know this would be and extra. Very limeted items in the room like no jug to fill with water to put in the fridge.
Room Service food (especially salads) has good ingredients but cooking is below pub standard. Caesar salad had more dressing than lettuce - had to sponge the garden salad to make it edible. Had some fish but it was all batter and the oil had saturated the batter and the chips. The wine and beer selection was the most basic I have seen and that includes some very old suburban pub bottle shops. Have been a regular customer but no more.
Staff were excellent, friendly & helpful. The location of the Mantra on Kent for a city trip is perfect, with Darling Harbour and the city being right on the doorstep. The room was clean, comfortable and plenty big enough and also very quiet. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and the room service meals were very good at a reasonable price.
I chose this hotel because everything else was full or over 400$ for a last minute Saturday night stay. Furniture is certainly not as nice as the nearby Meriton (also not the same price...) but definitely ok for a one or 2-night stay The staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel certainly exceeded my expectations.
The location was superb, close to all attractions in CBD in Sydney. Only a 5 minute walk to Darling Harbor and the Queen Victoria Building. We liked the size of the hotel room, and having a fridge and washer and dryer was very convenient. Was within a short walking distance to an inexpensive restaurant for breakfast (Paco's).
The bed was a little uncomfortable, and sagged in the middle.
One bedroom apartment was very spacious, great kitchen and full laundry facilities. Nothing fancy but practical and clean. Staff friendly.
Bar and restaurant always empty and apparently closed in the evening.
Very help full and friendly staff would stay again.
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, very comfortable and location is fantastic walking distance to all main attractions.
Only the location!!
Disappointing compared with Mantra in Melbourne which was not only cheaper but much more comfortable. Had problems with shower. Hotel needs upgrading. Would not stay here again. Has put me offf the Mantra hotels. Overpriced for a down market hotel!
Perfect location with Darling Harbour bars, cafe, aquarium and boat cruises a two minute walk. Staff accommodated us with a harbour view. I travelled with my sister and this was one of only a few hotels which would supply twin beds - very comfortable too. Excellent kitchen facilities. Separate breakfast cost in restaurant do you can use or go into the city.I would definitely stay at Mantra on Kent again
Room safe required asking for a key from reception rather than the usual combination opener
staff were very friendly within walking distance to darling harbour and the QVB
furniture and carpets a little out dated
It is well locate, clean with nice bright rooms. Enjoyed the stay.
The room we occupied had quite a large living room but the TV was very small. I think a larger TV would have been more suitable and perhaps the little one could be mounted on the wall in the bedroom.
We asked for a high floor and we were given a room on 26th floor, with a stunning city view, on skyscrapers, the Queen Victoria Building and the Town Hall. We stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment, with living room and kitchen. We enjoyed our stay as the area is well connected and walking distance from pretty much everything.
It was definitely a three-star apartment, and some of the furniture need renovation, especially the sofa. The chambermaid changed dishcloth and towels every day even if barely used, and the bed sheets very second day. We would have rather preferred a greater care for cleaning the floor or the oven. The closet is not big enough for a long stay. The cancellation policy was not clear and we were charged the full amount of hotel rate the very first day.
The location and staff were great. Room service food was good too.
The 1 bedroom deluxe is just a studio room with sliding glass doors around the bed....so no way of soundproofing of blocking out lights in the bedroom. very misleading description on the internet.
It was very close to everything we wanted. Darling harbour and convention centre. The rooms were lovely, clean and serviced everyday.
I didnt like the shower heads, spray was too fine. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and the doors need to have something on them so you can leave them open if you want. Everytime we went next door we had to either take the key or be locked out.
